Officials at Boise Parks and Recreation are working to complete phase 2 of Whitewater Park. At a meeting Wednesday evening, Parks and Rec. officials as well as designers updated the public on their progress and took comments.They plan to add more features to Whitewater Park including a beach area and two more rapid features downstream from the current one. Officials say they want the new water features to be usable for people of all skill level.
"We want to maximize the use of the park make sure where providing features that everybody enjoys that one type of use isn't over-used and another under-utilized," said Boise City engineer John Tensen.
Officials hope to start construction a year from now. They hope to have it fully completed in 2018.
