BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Grilled Cheese and Beer Festival took over Cecil D. Andrus Park on Saturday.
Ticket-purchasers had 3 hours of all inclusive beer and sandwich sampling from local Boise chefs, eventually voting for their favorite gourmet sandwich.
From Emma Pearson's perspective, grilled cheese is something that can bring the community together.
"Grilled cheese is something that we’re super passionate about as a team and so we figured, everybody loves grilled cheese," Pearson said. "Lets bring it to the city, bring the community together, and cheese is a great cause, and the good Samaritan home is an even better one.”
The festival was also serving people in more than just food and drink by benefiting the Good Samaritan Home.
