Boise Hempfest returns to Julia Davis Park

Posted

Hundreds came out to Julia Davis Park this afternoon for Boise Hempfest. It's all done to show support for marijuana in Idaho. The family-friendly event featured live music and entertainment. Workshops on cannabis education were also on display as well as food and vendors. Some say more people in Idaho have become open about their experiences with marijuana in recent years.

"Just with the legalization of the state that surrounds us right now you know, it's so easy to access so it's like almost coming out you know people are aware of it where it wasn't before everybody was hiding it," said Joy Bromley who was selling Tie dye T-shirts at the event.

Organizers hope to be back next year.
