BOISE — Students at Boise High School took the day on Wednesday to make the world a better place.
The “Brave Together” summit provides students and faculty with a chance to learn and work in teams on a variety of social justice topics.
Gone are the teacher led lectures, on Wednesday, teenagers rule the school
"This day is a lot more fun than a regular school because you get to learn about different stuff that you normally would not be learning about on a regular school day,” said Boise High student Roger Moore. “It’s not like following a curriculum, but you basically choose your own path. You choose what you want to learn."
Dozens of presentations and workshops highlighted a shared theme - the ability to find common ground.
