Boise man convicted of sexual battery, producing child pornography

BOISE, Idaho — After a four-day jury trial, a man was convicted March 12 or sexual crimes against a minor. Darin Ogden, 46, was arrested in September 2018 for charges of lewd conduct, sexual battery of a minor and production of sexually exploitative material of a child.

A jury found Ogden guilty of sexual battery with a minor aged 16 or 17. He was also found guilty of causing, inducing or permitting a child to be used for child sexually exploitative material.

Ogden's sentencing is set for May 19 at 1:30 p.m. before Ada County District Judge Michael J Reardon.

Idaho code allows for a maximum sentence of life in prison for sexual battery with a minor aged 16 or 17. Sexual exploitation has a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
