BOISE, Idaho — Idaho has rolled out a four-stage plan for businesses across the state to reopen. The state plan has estimated dates for when the next phase will begin. The data from health officials is assessed by state and local leaders around the middle of every month, with Governor Little making announcements about moving forward accordingly.
However, not all cities are aligned with the state plan. Boise, for example, says it has a phased reopening strategy too, but not one that works on a dated schedule. In a Facebook Live, Mayor Lauren McLean is reminding everyone that her social distancing order will remain in effect at least until the end of May.
Mayor McLean says people who are enjoying the good weather this weekend and going out to parks or recreation areas need to keep the six-feet distance rule in mind. The City of Boise has launched a webpage to provide transparency around federal funds received for COVID-19 expenses.
