BOISE, Idaho — With spring leagues postponed or canceled through May 31 because of coronavirus concerns, Boise Parks and Recreation is again extending the seasonal dog off-leash program at two parks.

All areas of Ann Morrison Park and Optimist Youth Sports Complex will remain available for off-leash dog use from sunrise to sunset through the end of May, with the exception of Boise River Greenbelt paths, parking lots, roads and playgrounds. Owners are reminded to pick up after their pets.

Visitors are also asked to continue following recommended hand hygiene and practice physical distancing of at least six feet between themselves and those outside their immediate household when using city parks and open spaces.

The city's fenced dog parks, including Together Treasure Valley Dog Island, remain closed at this time.
