Boise police officers arrested two suspects on felony drug charges on Thursday.
Chanel Mccord, 32 of Boise, and Jared Burchett, 39 from Kuna, were both arrested after Boise Police and the U.S. Marshal's Task Force followed up on a prior investigation and located the two suspects. Both men were found at a hotel in the 7000 block of W. Overland Road and taken into custody, according to Boise Police.
Mccord was wanted on a felony for eluding and had a "no bond" arrest warrant, officials said. When officers tried to take her into custody, police say she physically resisted and attempted to bite an officer. Burchett, who was wanted for unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and failure to appear, was arrested without incident, according to police.
After police obtained a search warrant for the hotel room where they two were located, officers found 30.4 grams of heroin and 2 grams of marijuana, both were tested and came back presumptive postive, police say. Boise Police say officers also found 17.5 grams of methamphetamine, MDMA, several pills without a prescription, drug paraphernalia and cash.
