UPDATE: The motorcyclist injured in the crash has passed away from his injuries. The Ada County Coroner will provide his identity pending notification of next of kin.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Boise Police Department is investigating a motorcycle crash that happened on April 15 just before 6 p.m. The crash was at Emerald and Hartman and motorcycle rider was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary information shows a vehicle and a motorcycle were going west on Emerald at high rates of speed the the adult male motorcyclist lost control and crashed. The other driver and several witnesses stopped and are cooperating with the investigation.
Emerald Street was closed in both directions at N. Hartman for the investigation, but has since reopened. Boise Police Criminal Investigation Unit detectives and a crash reconstruction team are still investigating the crash.
