Boise Police looking for person of interest, witness after stabbing

BOISE, Idaho — Boise Police are asking for help finding a person of interest and a witness to a stabbing on May 24 just before noon. The stabbing happened on the 1500 block of River Street and a victim was found with injuries to his hand and face from a sharp object.

An initial investigation shows a female witness walked by two men and had a brief exchange with them before the men got into a fight. The person of interest was identified as 59-year-old Nathan Rideb, also known as Omak. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Rideb and the victim knew each other prior to the incident.
