Update: Power is back online in the Boise area, following a large outage on Tuesday night.
The Idaho Power Outage map showed no signs of outages early Wednesday morning.
It's still unclear what caused the outage, with caused thousands to go without power.

Original Story: Power outages are impacting thousands of Idaho residents tonight.
Idaho Power is reporting that the outages on October 17 are affecting around 8,000 customers in Boise and Garden City.
Idaho Power has a crew on site currently working to restore power to the area. The outages were reported at 8:47 pm, and are expected to persist until 11:30 pm.
