BOISE, Ida. — Boise Public Library is getting ready to roll out customer service enhancements throughout the month of May. Two new services will be available to users starting May 1 and May 6.

The changes are part of the Library's ongoing effort to enhance the customer experience for all users. Starting May 1, the library will automatically renew most checked out items up to five times, unless the item is on hold for another customer. Each auto-renewal will extend the loan period for an additional two or four weeks. Customers will be notified of the renewal via email two days prior to the item's due date.

On May 6, an email newsletter titled, "This Month at the Boise Public Library," will launch, highlighting new resources, lifelong learning programs, and community-focused events that are available throughout the Boise Public Library system. The newsletter will be published on the first Monday of each month. To subscribe, click here.

Public Services Manager Sarah Kelley-Chase says the services are already popular customer requests. Kelley-Chase says the system is always looking for ways to make it easier for people to access materials and better connect library users with programs and resources.
