BOISE, Idaho — Simple things can bring great comfort to those living without a home. For the last month, MCU Sports and Mix 106 have partnered to ensure people in need can keep their feet warm and dry.

For every pair of socks purchased, MCU Sports donated a pair to the Boise Rescue Mission. The group dropped off their donations at the City Light Home for Women and Children in Boise, where they say the socks will not be taken for granted.

"Socks are the number one need at the Mission, not just this time of year but all year round," said Danny Tommack, MCU Sports co-owner. "So, we tried to get as many pairs of socks that we could, from kids socks to adult socks, ski socks to just warm wool socks."

The community donated two thousand pairs of socks this year. That is a 25 percent increase over last year.
