BOISE, Idaho — Several dozen people attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house Wednesday at Hillside Junior High School in Boise to mark the completion of the school’s new gymnasium and cafeteria.

Both projects were “made possible thanks to voters' passage of the Boise School District's 2017 Bond Election, which received an 86% approval,” said Boise School District spokesman Dan Hollar. “The new gymnasium and cafeteria are a significant improvement for the school -- and will help address the educational needs of our community's students well into the future.”

Hillside students and staff, District administrators, Boise School Board members, construction company and architectural firm representatives were all on hand for the Wednesday morning event.
