BOISE, Idaho — After their big win against Air Force on Friday, the 4-0 Bronco football team has climbed to #16 in the latest AP Top 25 poll and to #15 in the Amway Coaches Poll.
The Broncos are now hoping for an opportunity to play in the Cotton Bowl in December and must remain undefeated and win the Mountain West Conference championship in order to have a chance.
UCF gave Bronco Nation a huge boost after losing to Pitt on Saturday 35-34. After the loss, UCF slid to #22 in the AP Top 25 and to #23 in the Amway Coaches poll.
Several losses, including No. 19 Washington State, No. 17 Texas A&M, No. 11 Michigan, No. 10 Utah and No. 7 Notre Dame helped Boise State jump four and five spots in the polls.
The Broncos have a bye this week, but will play the UNLV Rebels in Las Vegas on October 5.
