Last week marked the beginning of fall camp for Boise State football. The Broncos who went 7-1 in conference and 11-3 overall last year are ready to do and be even better this season. The team has been working hard in preparation for their first game September 1st against Troy University. Senior defensive end, Durrant Miles shared Monday after camp that, “right now our focus is on Troy and how we can get better each and every day up until that game and when we go down there just you know, unleash have fun and you know get out there and play ball like we know how.”
The Broncos are welcoming back a handful of skilled returners. The talent is evenly spread throughout their offense, defense, and special teams. This alone will give Boise State a strong upper hand in their conference. So far, the team appears to have a nice mix of experienced returners and focused freshman. Keeping that in mind, underclassman, Kekaula Kaniho has one thing to say about developing as a player on a highly competitive team, he believes that “understanding the day to day grind of just trying to stay consistent in our technique and going back to square one...taking it each day one day at a time, one rep at a time and just being in the now.”
Boise State is scheduled to host their first home game of the season September 8th at Albertsons Stadium against The University of Connecticut. You can view the season schedule here.
