There are football fans, and then there are Boise State football fans. Although the game didn't start until late Saturday evening Bronco Nation came out to tailgate starting early morning.

"Been a long time coming we've been jazzed for this game it's going to really exciting," said Boise State fan Steve Walthers and his friend Greg Reid.  Steve and Greg are the co-owners of a blue and orange bronco bus.

For eight seasons they've taken it to both home and away games. Inside, it's a shrine to the team and yes, the carpet is blue. "We have Doug Martin, the muscle hamster. We have him signed right there and we got Coach Pete’s signature” said Reid.

Steve, Greg and thousands of others fans had their tailgate party in the 10 to 10 zone. An area designated by Boise Police where fans can drink alcohol if they follow the rules.

Police say from 10 am to 10 pm on home game days, you can drink but it can't be in glass containers, beer cans, or any type of liquor bottle or cups with alcoholic labeling. Alcohol is plastic cups is ok.

"You got to kind of be safe and everything we have kids here and we want to have a good time to so there is a healthy balance is what we got to go with," said Walther.

While many are enjoying their tailgating, fans say the only thing that could make this day better is Bronco win.

The Boise Police Department is also reminding fans to drink responsibly and get home safe.
