Boise State graduate named Rhodes Scholar

Elena Gallina, a recent graduate of Boise State has been named a Rhodes Scholar. Applicants come from more than 320 American colleges and universities. The scholarship is one of the oldest and most celebrated international fellowship awards in the world.

Rhodes scholars receive all expenses for two or three years of study at the University of Oxford in England.

Gallina graduated in May of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies and a minor in Arabic studies.

Since she graduated, she worked for the State Department and then moved to Albania where she worked as a photographer as a language tutor for members of the media and for an economic development group.
