Boise Vietnam memorial vandalized

Police are investigating vandalism at the new Vietnam veteran's memorial in Boise. 

Six medallions were removed from the memorial over the weekend which represented the five branches of the military and the Vietnam Veteran's of America. The damage was estimated to be worth $3,300 by the president of the group's Treasure Valley chapter.

A dedication ceremony for the monument was held on May 30th, hundreds of people were in attendance. There are a total of 217 Idaho residents who died in Vietnam honored on the memorial.
