Man arrested after firing gun during protest at Capitol building

BOISE, Idaho — UPDATE: According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Michael Wallace, 18, was booked into the Ada County Jail at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Wallace has been charged with misdemeanor discharge of a firearm in city limits.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Boise Police say they are investigating a shot fired in the area of protesters at the capitol.

Police say no one was injured, and a suspect is in custody.

At this time it is being investigated as an unintentional or accidental discharge.

Police say the protest continues to be calm and there are no other acts violence.
