The Idaho Transportation Department will begin work on detour routes necessary to replace the Broadway Bridge. ITD says motorists will see lane restrictions along Beacon Street, Parkcenter Boulevard, Park Boulevard, Front and Myrtle Streets to accommodate construction.
The south side of the Greenbelt will be detoured starting on the 28th through Sunday January 3rd. This will allow utility companies to more and relocate utilities in the area.
The Broadway bridge will close on January 4th and Broadway Avenue will be complete closed from Cesar Chavez lane to Myrtle Street with construction expected to be complete in the fall. The new bridge will be wider with more lanes for traffic, bicycles and wider sidewalks with improved access to the Greenbelt.
