BOISE (KIVI) — What experts are calling the busiest travel time of the year kicked off on Thursday.
On an average day, the airport sees around 6,000 to 7,000 people through its gates, but during the holidays that number nearly doubles.
The Boise Airport and TSA recommend travelers arrive at least 90 minutes before takeoff. They also say to make sure to check your airline's website for your flight’s status.
Also, it's a good idea to leave any gifts unwrapped until you arrive at your destination, just in case there's a bag check.
