BOISE, Idaho — Many local businesses are feeling the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, and Buy Idaho has a few ideas on how to support them as the pandemic continues.
Several restaurants have pivoted to offering curbside to-go and delivery, but other shops may not be able to do so. Buy Idaho's executive director Jennifer Mauk suggests supporting those businesses by looking into buying a gift card or another way to buy online.
Mauk also says social media is a great tool for businesses right now. Business owners can share their message by posting here, calling 208-343-2582, or sending information to Buy Idaho to post on its blog. If you are using social media, tag Buy Idaho so it can be shared and use the hashtags #buyidaho and #keepitlocal
Buy Idaho is partnering with Profit Creek to provide business owners with an opportunity to "virtually" come together and problem solve. Brent Oetken owns Profit Creek and helps people simplify the complexity of running a business so they can get what they really want from their business.
On Friday, March 20. Oetken will host a Buy Idaho Roundtable for up to 100 business owners to come together and provide support and solutions for current operational issues. Additional sessions will be added in the coming weeks. If you're interested, you can access the ZOOM conference call by clicking here and using the meeting ID: 596 408 889. The discussion starts at 3 p.m.
