Cactus Bar in downtown Boise is counting down to their "grand re-opening" on Friday.
The popular establishment posted to social media Tuesday announcing it will be reopening at 10 a.m. on Friday. The bar officially closed it's doors June 24 when Central District Health reordered Ada County bars to shut down again as coronavirus numbers increased.
Ada County is currently in stage three of the state reopening plan, meaning bars and nightclubs are closed, according to the public health order from Central District Health. However, some bars were able to reopen after getting a food establishment license. There is no official word on how the bar is reopening on Friday.
Central District Health is holding a Board of Health of meeting Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. The Board will discuss moving future weekly meetings to start at 5:15 p.m., along with reviewing COVID-19 metrics and discussions about Ada and Valley County orders.
Another Facebook post from Cactus Bar made a post six days ago saying "Stay tuned...we are about to open back up again! 🤞🏾" The bar also said people who come in within the first week they are open will get some "free swag."
Governor Little is holding a press conference about stage four of Idaho Rebounds at 11 a.m. Thursday. Idaho News 6 will be streaming the conference live on Facebook.
