Caldwell Police search for suspect after man was shot

CALDWELL—Police are looking for public assistance with information on an incident that left a man with a gunshot wound.

On Monday, September 6, at about 6:30 p.m., a man walked into an emergency room of a local hospital with a non- life threatening gunshot wound.

Police reported that the victim had an argument with the suspect at a Nampa business. The victim left in his car and was followed by the suspect. Near the intersection of Santa Ana and Blue Springs, the suspect shot the victim.

The victim, 22, of Ontario, Oregon, does not want to pursue criminal charges.

The suspect was described as a man with fair skin, 20-30 years old, driving a black or dark gray car with black wheels, may have dealer license plate, and unknown numbers.

Investigators do not know what type of firearm was used and have yet to determine if the argument was gang related.
