CALDWELL, Idaho — The Caldwell School District Board of Trustees approved moving to a hybrid in-person schedule starting September 28. Students in the district started school online on August 27.
With the hybrid schedule, elementary school students will attend classes in the morning or afternoon every day except Wednesday. Middle and high school students will either be on an "A" schedule, which is Monday and Thursday, or a "B" schedule, which is Tuesday and Friday. The district says Wednesday is a digital day for all students.
The Boise School District started their "phase one" this week, meaning pre-k through second-grade students will have staggered shifts of both in-person and virtual learning. If that goes as planned, 7th- through 12th-grade students will join the hybrid learning model by October 19.
At the Nampa School District, all students returned to a hybrid learning model this week. Face coverings are mandatory for students and teachers in both the Boise and Nampa School Districts.
