BOISE, Idaho — During a board meeting Tuesday night, Central District Health unanimously allowed visitation to long-term care facilities under strict COVID-19 prevention parameters.
The new guidelines are effective immediately, with CDH also reporting COVID-19 clusters in 27 long-term care facilities. The guidelines include screenings for symptoms of COVID-19, disinfecting procedures, capacity limitations and priority for outside visitation when possible.
The board also discussed upward hospitalization and disease trends, along with changes made to in-person learning at schools.
Tonight’s Board of Health meeting included an update and discussion of data and metrics, change to the Ada County Order allowing visitation to Long Term Care facilities, and discussion around schools and testing resources.
