BOISE, Idaho — During a board meeting Tuesday night, Central District Health unanimously allowed visitation to long-term care facilities under strict COVID-19 prevention parameters.

The new guidelines are effective immediately, with CDH also reporting COVID-19 clusters in 27 long-term care facilities. The guidelines include screenings for symptoms of COVID-19, disinfecting procedures, capacity limitations and priority for outside visitation when possible.

The board also discussed upward hospitalization and disease trends, along with changes made to in-person learning at schools.
