City of Boise celebrates grand opening of new affordable housing apartment complex

BOISE, Idaho — Tuesday the City of Boise cut the ribbon on a new affordable workforce housing development.

The 134 unit apartment community, called Adare, will be built near the heart of downtown Boise at 24th and Fairview. Adare was developed through a partnership with the city, Idaho Housing and Finacne, Capitol City Development and other investment partners.

Affordable housing has become a hot topic during this year's mayoral race.

Rent for one, two and three bedroom units will range from $550-$1500 a month based on income.
