EAGLE, Idaho — The City of Eagle is using a portion of its CARES Act funding to provide grants to small businesses. The city has set aside up to $300,000 in total funds to give to businesses.

They expect average awards to range from $3,000 to $15,000. Awards will cover necessary expenses related to COVID-19 and costs incurred between June 20 and December 30.

"In Eagle, small businesses are really the backbone of our community," said Jason Pierce of the City of Eagle. "We have a ton of mom and pop shops and stuff to that effect, and we really want to make sure that they are able to stay in business throughout all of this."

The program is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications are open now on the City of Eagle website and the last day to apply is December 7 by 3 p.m.
