MERIDIAN — The City of Meridian is looking for two youth members in the community, between grades 9-12, who want to serve on the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Meridian Arts Commission.

“Even if they don’t necessarily end up in government, we want to make sure that we are creating and providing the best opportunities for these youth to become active participants and citizens in their community,” said City of Meridian Programs and Events Specialist Timothy Hendrickson.

The positions are for a one-year term and will give Meridian youth a unique opportunity to learn about the government while also having their voices heard.

You can access the application here.

To apply, complete and email the application to Programs and Events Specialist, Tim Hendrickson (thendrickson@meridiancity.org), by 5 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 25.

Virtual interviews are set for Monday, Sept., 28 and will conclude by Friday, Oct. 2.
