NAMPA, Idaho — The City of Nampa has closed all playgrounds until further notice to prevent the spread of coronavirus. There are 23 city-managed playgrounds within Nampa.

City officials ask residents to stop using swings, slides and avoid touching any other park equipment until the closure is lifted. The City of Nampa Parks and Recreation department will be taping off all playgrounds Wednesday. Signs will be posted in English and Spanish at each site alerting residents of the closures.

Parks and pathways will stay open to the public at this time. This is subject to any further guidance issued by the health district or State of Idaho. Citizens are reminded to follow recommendations from Centers for Disease Control and local health authorities.
