NAMPA — The City of Nampa and the Hispanic and Latino COVID-19 Task Force hosted an event Thursday to discuss the effects of coronavirus and to provide resources to the Hispanic community. Speakers from Saint Alphonsus outlined health concerns related to COVID-19, while the Department of Labor shared resources to help with jobs and finances during the pandemic.
The Nampa School District also discussed efforts to help families with kids in schools. The panel provided information about upcoming food drives, where people can find medical help and what resources are available in the community.
"Nampa is extremely pleased to partner with the Hispanic and Latino COVID-19 task force to bring information and resources to our community," said Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling.
In a continued partnership, the City of Nampa and the task force will work to keep the Hispanic and Latino community up to date on important information about COVID-19, as well as provide resources to help the community navigate through these difficult times.
