CALDWELL, Idaho — While spring sports may be canceled or postponed, one local school is looking ahead to fall. The College of Idaho just released its 2020 football schedule.

The defending Frontier Conference champions will open the 2020 season on the road, as the Coyotes head to Billings, Montana for Labor Day weekend. They'll face Rocky Mountain in a rematch of a 42-0 C of I victory last September at Herb Klindt Field.

The Yotes, ranked No. 5 in the final AFCA-NAIA Top-25 Coaches’ Poll, wrapped up 2019 by continuing a 16-game regular-season win streak. This year marks the second straight year the Yotes will play a 10-game schedule--with all 10 games within the Frontier Conference.

C of I will play road dates at Southern Oregon, Carroll College, Montana Western and Eastern Oregon – all teams that either were ranked or receiving votes in last season’s NAIA Top-25, with Western ending the season ranked No. 22 and Carroll at No. 25.

The home schedule begins on September 12, hosting Montana State Northern, with the annual Homecoming Game set for September 26 against rival Eastern Oregon.

Currently all games are slated for a 1 p.m. kickoff (minus the Nov. 14 game, which will begin at Noon). More information can be found here.

The 16-team NAIA Football Championship Series will begin on November 21 – with the national championship game set for December 19 in Ruston, Louisiana.
