A Caldwell couple is dead after a murder suicide, according to the Gem County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies found two elderly people dead in their home on El Paso road in Caldwell on Thanksgiving morning.
The couple has been identified as 82-year-old Gloria Polk and her husband, 79-year-old John Polk. The sheriff's office says Polk shot his wife, then turned the gun on himself. He later died at a Boise hospital.
Investigators have not yet released a motive for the killing. The case is under investigation.
