Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash south of Weiser. The accident shut down U.S. Highway 95 for three hours overnight Tuesday, December 1.

According to ISP, it happened just after 10:00 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 95 and Crystal Lane. William Hale, 54, and passenger, Melissa Hale, 51, both of Weiser, were driving northbound on Highway 95 in a 2003 Ford Ranger. Mary Beals, 48, of Caldwell, was driving westbound on Crystal Lane in a 2003 Kia Sedona. Beals slowed but did not stop at a stop sign, turned southbound onto Highway 95 and collided head-on with the Ranger.

ISP says all drivers and passengers were wearing seatbelts. Hale was taken by ambulance to Weiser Memorial and treated and released. No other injuries were reported.
