NAMPA, Idaho — Looking to add the most talented players to continue the Crusader success, head coach Doug English also wants to ensure that Idaho’s finest players wear Northwest Nazarene red and black.

English helped make sure of that by signing Vallivue High School’s Kayla Sale to a National Letter-of-Intent to play for NNU starting this fall.

“I could not be more excited to have Kayla be a part of our volleyball program,” English said. “Kayla is an outside hitter who is an excellent defender and serve receiver, which will give her the opportunity to make an impact at NNU in multiple positions over her career.

“I look forward to having her toughness and her work-ethic in our gym every day.”
The 5-foot-9 outside hitter from Caldwell, Idaho, was named to the 5A Southern Idaho Conference First Team after both her junior (2014) and senior (2015) seasons at Vallivue, was an All-State selection both years, and helped lead the Falcons to the 5A District III championships in 2014.

Sale also played club volleyball for the Idaho Crush team.

Sale joins Idaho Crush teammate Megan Nelson, along with Kari Staples and Lexi Ward at the newest additions to the NNU volleyball team. Nelson, Staples and Ward all signed during the fall of 2015.
