NAMPA, Idaho — Nampa Police Officers have released the identity of the man whose body was found in a Nampa cemetery Wednesday.

Police say Timothy Rose, a 52-year-old Nampa resident, was reported missing earlier this month. Police found Rose's body alongside the canal at the north end of Kohlerlawn Cemetery, in a possible sinkhole.

Although early reports from police described the death as suspicious, an autopsy has been performed and police now say the circumstances of the death do not appear to be suspicious. Detectives did process the scene as a homicide.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.

The case is still under investigation by Nampa Police detectives. If anyone has any information about this case, please contact Crime Stoppers at 208-343- COPS, on the web at 343COPS.com or on the mobile app P3.
