BOISE, Idaho — If you had to cancel your wedding because of COVID-19, raise your hand...
Unfortunately, if this were a room full of engaged couples scheduled to be married this spring or summer, we'd most likely see a lot of hands going up.
Couples are spending tons of money to make their special day perfect, but what happens when you cancel your special day?
Block 22 Hotels owns the Grove Hotel in downtown Boise. Over the last three months, they've received call after call from brides having to cancel or postpone their wedding due to the global pandemic. Boise entered stage four of Governor Little's reopening plan earlier this month, but a spike in COVID-19 cases pushed Ada County back to a modified stage three.
To meet our current situation and devastated couples somewhere in the middle, the Grove Hotel is giving away a FREE two-hour wedding to TEN couples.
Each two-hour, the private ceremony includes:
- complimentary understated decor
- wedding arch-seating for up to 50 guests
- professional wedding photographer
- courtesy set up, tear down and cleaning
- complimentary room at The Grove Hotel on the wedding night
The weddings will be held on The Grove's terrace overlooking downtown and the foothills on August 20 and 21.
While this is entirely free, the hotel does ask that couples and wedding guests bring canned food donations for the Idaho Foodbank in place of payment.
Winners will be selected on July 9th. Click here to enter!
