BOISE, Idaho — A representative from Block 22 LLC, the management group that owns The Grove Hotel and Hotel 43 in Boise, exclusively shared with 6 On Your Side that they are seeing a big increase in business this week -- even unprecedentedly, in one hotel's case.

Rooms at Hotel 43, according to front desk manager Michael Eckelberger, are almost entirely sold out Tuesday -- a phenomenon he said rarely ever occurs.

The source says the group is extremely busy, both with hotel bookings as well as in their restaurants.

Why? He said it is largely due to the combination of the New Years Eve Idaho Potato Drop on Tuesday and the upcoming Idaho Potato Bowl on Friday.

This year's Idaho Potato Bowl, slated for January 3, will host Nevada of the Mountain West Conference and Ohio from the Mid-American Conference.

The Idaho Potato Drop draws thousands of spectators to Capitol Park from across the map each year.
