The Treasure Valley YMCA is expanding with a new “Healthy Living Center.”
Construction is already underway at the former Nelson’s School Supply Store on State Street and 11th.
The new facility will focus on meeting the needs of those dealing with cancer, diabetes, and other diseases.
"So there will be classwork, counseling, exercise, and group work all that will be here located inside these four walls that happens in our other branches as well, but this will give us a dedicated space that's easy for people to get to an access that will serve their needs,” YMCA CEO David Duro explained.
Duro said they hope to open by March 1st.
