BOISE, Idaho — Inmates at the South Boise Women's Correctional Center received a special treat as a local organization called Dress for Success presented them with a new outfit.
For the last 20 years, Dress for Success has made it their mission to empower women in the Treasure Valley through professional attire and a network of support.
Sunday, the organization helped women who have less than six months before they return to society; their new outfits are designed to help during a job interview.
"I felt normal, I got to see how pretty I'm going to look when I get out," said Kirsten. "I get to remember what it was like before I came here and it gives me hope."
"My favorite part was putting the clothes on and coming out and seeing myself in normal clothes again," said Tiffany. "It was a boost of confidence."
It was certainly a sight to behold as these women transformed with the help of Dress for Success.
"For me personally, it is probably the most impactful thing I've ever been a part of," said Rachel Flichel of Dress for Success. "Hopefully it will be life-changing for them."
Last April, Dress for Success purchased a van they call the mobile boutique which helps them travel to different places all over the valley and help more people.
