Eagle Field of Honor at Reid Merrill Park

EAGLE, Idaho — A local Memorial Day tradition is the longest running of its kind in the country. 600 flags on eight-foot poles are neatly lined across a field for the 10-day tribute to veterans.

Each flag pole has a yellow ribbon tied to it, bearing names of soldiers who have served or are currently serving in our Armed Forces. Money raised from donations and sponsorships from individual flags will go to Brave Hearts Idaho to help veterans in crisis and the Idaho State Veterans Home.

All the flags are lit up at night and will be on display at Reid Merrill Park in Eagle through May 26. For more information on the history of the event, click here.
