BOISE, Idaho — UPDATE (3/6): The Idaho Democratic Party tweeted on Friday that the organization has landed two speakers to fill the gap left by the departure of Senator Elizabeth Warren, who stepped down as the keynote speaker after she left the presidential race.

In Warren's place, the party announced Senator Bernie Sanders surrogate Rep. Pramila Jayapal and former Vice President Joe Biden surrogate and olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan would be featured guests to the annual gala.

UPDATE: Elizabeth Warren will NOT be speaking at the Frank & Bethine Church Gala this weekend. Stay tuned for updates on who the speaker will be.

Original Story: With Elizabeth Warren dropping out of the race for the democratic nomination for president, the Idaho Democratic Party's biggest fundraiser is in flux.

Warren stepped in as the speaker for the Frank and Bethine Church Gala Saturday to fill in for Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who backed out of the race and his commitment to speak at the event.

A part official tells 6 On Your Side that Warren is still scheduled to speak to the state party.

Idaho Democrats have seen a recent transition of power, with longtime legislators like Sen. Cherie Buckner-Webb, Sen. Maryanne Jordan and Rep. Mat Erpelding not seeking re-election in November.

The primary election for legislative positions is scheduled for May 19.
