BOISE, Idaho — It was a weekend full of family, fun and friendly big-eyed birds at the World Center for Birds of Prey!

"Family Field Trip Weekend" means kids get in free and spend the weekend learning about, interacting with, and watching big birds that call the Treasure Valley home.

Today, kids toured the archives of falconry, crafted binoculars, and saw several feathered friends--up close and personal.

The idea behind the events is to get children engaged with the species.

If you missed the event this weekend, don't worry! There's another one planned the weekend after Valentines Day. The center's Facebook page also has other events, including a Birds and Brew!
