BOISE, Idaho — Treefort Music Fest announced the plans for Filmfort Weekend, the official showcase for Filmfort 2020, Tuesday. The Filmfort lineup will be viewable online from September 25 through 27, but film lovers will also be able to watch three films at The Flicks in downtown Boise.
Filmfort Weekend at Home is possible due to a partnership with Filmmaker Magazine. The lineup will be available to watch online for free starting September 25 on the Filmmaker Magazine website. You can find the full Filmfort 2020 lineup here.
At The Flicks, you will be able to watch one feature film per evening with limited seating. Organizers of the event say the films feature content that is best suited for adult audiences. The screening schedule is as follows:
- September 25 at 7 p.m., FEELS GOOD MAN, dir. by Arthur Jones. A funny, trippy and thought-provoking film about how the Internet transformed an unlucky cartoon frog, then the rest of the world.
- September 26 at 7 p.m., FREELAND, dir. by Kate McLean and Mario Furloni. In the remote hills of Humboldt County, California, 65-year-old black market pot farmer Devi faces stark choices when forced to adapt to the new economic reality brought by legalization.
- September 26 at 7 p.m., BEAST BEAST, dir. by Danny Madden. Three interwoven stories of youth navigating identity, first love, petty crime, and gun violence in a Southern, American town.
Tickets are $10 per show or $25 for a weekend pass and are available to buy through The Flicks. Pre-sale tickets are available online or day-of tickets at The Flicks box office. Seating is limited to 50 people per show to accommodate social distancing and attendees are required to wear a mask at all times during the event.
