The cold isn't stopping skaters at Indian Creek Plaza from having fun!

Tonight, there will be a "Fire and Ice Party" complete with fire dancers, an art installation, and live ice sculpting.

The event coordinator, Melissa Nodzu, says the event is all about bringing heat to winter, but because of today's crazy weather it almost didn't happen!

"When you're fighting the weather like so today, this morning it was really snowy and stuff and we weren't sure we were going to have the show tonight but I think the weather's going to cooperate," Nodzu said.

The event itself is free, but there is still a fee to skate. There will be beer and win for folks who want to watch the show, but if you choose to drink you can not get on the ice.

Indian Creek Plaza is projected to close on February 23rd for about six weeks to gear up for the spring and summer events that start in April.
