Fish and Game officers have killed a grizzly bear in Eastern Idaho, after a relocation effort failed.
The "sub-adult" grizzly was frequenting the area near the Forest Service Mill Creek Campground, and a nearby subdivision in Island Park . On July 11, officers captured, radio-marked and relocated the grizzly to a new area.
Fish and game managers say the bear immediately returned to the Mill Creek area. After multiple attempts to haze the bear away, officers say a high public safety concern necessitated the need for lethal removal.
