BOISE, Idaho — Boise Fire responded to a house fire just before 1 p.m. Tuesday on the 9000 block of W. Tudor Dr.
According to a Tweet from the department, the fire was extinguished quickly, but heat and thick smoke heavily damaged the first floor. Smoke damage extended onto the second floor of the home, as well.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire, but five pets died. Due to the damage to the home, the family is displaced. The Boise Burnout Fund is available to assist the family.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
