A former juvenile corrections worker accused of having sex with at least three inmates will go to trial after a judge rejected a plea deal in made in March.

Valerie Lieteau, 41, of California, pled guilty to one felony count of aggravated assault in March after having sex with a juvenile multiple times while she was a nurse employed at the Idaho Department of Juvenile of Corrections in Nampa from 2008 to 2011.

However, at a sentencing hearing on May 31st, Judge Christopher Nye rejected the aggravated assault plea bargain. Instead, Nye ordered a trial starting on October 24th where Lieteau will face her original charges of sexual battery committed by lewd of lascivious acts on a minor 16-17 years-old.

Lieteau is accused of having sex with at least two 18-year-old inmates at the facility while employed at the facility.

A third victim, who was only 17-years-old at the time, claimed that he and Lieteau had sex at her home while he was on a release pass from the facility.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the three victims are part of 11 males and one female who claimed they were sexually abused by staff at the center.
