MERIDIAN, Idaho — There is a lot to learn about the United States Government. A foundational civics training class offered today in Meridian attempted to break it all down.
It's a non-partisan course aiming to teach participants beyond what's offered in most civics classes.
Organizers say most people aren't aware of how many layers our government has.
"Really teaches people that people in the government that work in government in our schools, in our cities, they're people and they have specific lawful duties and we just teach people where to look for those duties and how to interact with the people as human beings," said Mila Wood, a Center for Self-governance board member.
The course is a good learning tool for Idahoans looking to get any level of government employment.
